Meet Our Team
Our team at Fresno Discovery Center comes from many backgrounds, but we share the same passion for science and community. Part scientist, part explorer and part kid-at-heart, we’re here to make every visit an adventure.
Melissa Telemeco
A former scientist and proud mom, Melissa brings curiosity and heart to everything she does. With experience at two other science centers, she knows how to make science fun for everyone. She may be the boss, but you can often find her at volunteer events, rolling up her sleeves, getting her hands dirty and making the team feel like family!
Ben Anderson
Ben works at Fresno State in the Agricultural Operations Department. He works on grants, drones, asset management and anything else that can further the goals of the Jordan Agricultural Sciences and Technology College. At home, he enjoys time with his dog, being a maker, volunteering for nonprofit organizations and video games.

As a professional artist, Miguel’s research-based practice investigates the relationships between humans and aquatic environments. By representing these ecosystems and creatures that inhabit them, Miguel can create scenes of conflict and evoke empathy, referencing tropes of romance, consumption, human intervention, and grief. Miguel has a BA in art and a certificate of Marine Biology. MiguelGamezMacias.com
