Michael is a local boy who has spent nearly his whole life in Fresno. Born in Taft, CA, he moved to Fresno with his family when he was 2 years old. Michael graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1975 and Fresno City College in 1982 studying Electronics.

Michael is no stranger to volunteering to help out local youths, first with little league baseball, from coaching to being League President for over 400 children. Michael also spent nearly 20 years with the Boy Scouts of America, including 13 years as a ScoutMaster for troop 257 in Clovis, CA. He still works with the Boy Scouts, having Eagle candidate complete their Eagle projects at the Fresno Discovery Center and he sponsors Cub Scout Pack 1944 at the Center as well.

Currently in his spare time when not helping out at the Fresno Discovery Center, Michael enjoys building plastic models, working on older cars and woodworking. Michael is married to his wonderful wife of over 30+ years and has three children.
